Dear DAS Volunteers,

5^th National Sterilization and Disinfection Congress will be held on 4-8 April 2007 in Kremlin Palace Hotel, Antalya with the honorary presidents of The Ministry of Health Prof. Recep Akdag, MD and precious master Prof. Ayhan Yucel, MD.

The opening ceremony will be done by William Rutala, Ph. D. M.P.H. who is the authority of Sterilization and Disinfection. Dr. Rutala will share his knowledge and experiences in the other days with 2 different sessions.

Our first Sterilization and Disinfection Symposium had been done in 1999 in Samsun which was followed by the second and third meetings in 2001 and 2003 with higher participation. Attendance to the congress was over 1000 in total. At the end of the congress, three congress books were compiled as a guide. In addition to these books, 'Sterilization Disinfections and Hospital Infections 2002' was also compiled as a bedside guide. More than 5000 people have been covered with these publications. Those publications are also available on web site.

4^th Sterilization and Disinfection Congress has been done with 850 participants in Samsun with the establishment of Society of Disinfection, Antisepsis and Sterilization (DAS).

Increasing number of attendance makes Samsun incapable for the congress venue. It has been estimated that more than 1000 participants would be attending to the congress in 2007. Because of the capacity limitations, Kremlin Palace is chosen as the congress venue.

Topics including problems in daily practice will be covered during the conference. Participants will have the opportunity to access the workshop groups. During the presentation sessions company profiles and new products will be introduced to the audience. Congress will be actualized as a fair.
